The Centre is a professional training facility of the Bulgarian Red Cross. It is located in a beautiful pine area at the foot of Lozen Mountain with an altitude of 704 m, only twenty minutes drive from the center of Sofia.
The area is known as “Malaya Sveta Gora” and nearby are two monasteries, one of which dates back to the 13th-14th centuries.
From the center starts the eco-trail “Lozenska Mountain”, which can be used to reach the Polovrak peak. It offers a beautiful panorama of Sofia and the Rila, Verila, Plana, and Vitosha mountains.
The place has accommodation facilities in several buildings with double and triple rooms with private WC/bathrooms, a cafeteria with an indoor hall and summer terrace, rooms for trainings and presentations, a party hall, and extensive outdoor areas including basketball, tennis, and mini-football courts. There are both sunny grassy spaces and shaded lawns.
The only earthquake simulation apparatus on the Balkan Peninsula is also located here!
The place exudes tranquility, freedom, and a strong connection with the natural environment around it.
